Ronnie Hamilton, artist of *Last Load* (Limited Edition of 1,000), was a born-and-bred Mississippi Delta boy. His artwork can be found across the country in the homes of friends, loved ones, and even in
several Mississippi museums.

This particular piece began as an original watercolor donated to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mississippi Agricultural Aviators Association (known today as the Women of the Mississippi Agricultural Aviation Association). It depicts a converted WWII Stearman defoliating cotton at the end of the growing season—both the crop and aircraft catching the last light of a late-afternoon sunset.

Growing up on a “family-owned cotton farm slap dab in the middle of the Mis’sippi Delta,” Ronnie and his siblings often felt they had front-row seats to their own private airshows, watching the beloved planes and pilots fly overhead. Surrounded by friends and family in agriculture, he collected countless stories of ag pilots and treasured those friendships deeply.

Drawing and painting scenes of Delta life—what he affectionately called “Redneck Realism”—was woven into his heart and soul. He would be filled with joy and honor to know his work has been donated to help preserve and celebrate our country’s agricultural aviation heritage.
